Meeting at the Mechitarian Centre

On 16 November, the Rector of Yerevan Haybusak University S. Harutyunyan, Vice-Rector H. Kazhoyan, Director of the Career Centre N. Hovsepyan, and Development and Education Quality Assurance Officer M. Hovhannisyan visited the Mechitarian Centre. They met Father Yeghia to discuss the transportation of Ghevond Alishan’s Haybusak encyclopaedia from Saint Lazarus Island in Venice for a temporary exhibition at the University. It’s significant that the name of Haybusak University derives from that encyclopedia. After a tour of the Centre, they discussed its needs and its possible support by the university. S. Harutyunyan said that the university will help enhance the material resources of the gymnasium. Expressing his gratitude, Father Yeghia informed that the Congregation has prepared Ghevond Alishan’s collection of letters as a gift, that ceremony will be held in the coming days.
