Abstract. Factors influencing the development of creative abilities include the characteristics of psychological, social-personal, speech, and creative activity of primary schoolchildren, the consideration of which plays a significant role in the observed process. As a result of our studies, we identified the structural components of a person’s creative potential: creative thinking, imagination, ingenuity, the power of understanding, the desire to penetrate the depths of things and phenomena, to discover inner connections, the feeling of beauty, etc. We consider the presence of separate components as criteria for the formation and development of a person’s creative abilities. The creative abilities of younger schoolchildren are mainly developed in the educational process, in the case of the teacher’s leading, guiding role, the use of interactive teaching methods and modern technologies, and the provision of the necessary pedagogical conditions for this, which we will discuss in the next sub-chapter.
