The library of Yerevan Haybusak University has started

 its activity since 1991 having only one hundred unit books. By regularly enriching with textbooks, educational-methodical, educational supporting materials, popular scientific literature, journals and fictions, the library has become one of the favorite places for students and teachers. Attached to the library, there is a spacious reading hall which provides availability of WiFi internet. Currently the total number of books is 35.340 among which 15.080 are textbooks, 4200 – project-based fictions, 1400 – educational-methodical materials, 14600 – educational supporting materials, 60 maps, 19 electronic informative CDs which contain 25.000 unit books. There is also an informative printing press. The library cooperates with the National Library of Armenia, City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan and Scientific Medical Library of Armenia based on signed contracts due to which the students of Yerevan Haybusak University can freely use their literature funds.

Until December 31, 2025, the electronic databases of the publishing company "Bentham Science Publishers" are available.They include more than 160 journals published from 1994-2025, covering all areas of medicine: pharmacy, medicine, green chemistry, alternative energy, biology, chemistry and other areas.125 of the journals are indexed on the "Scopus" and "ScienceDirect" platforms.

BOOKS OF OUR FOUNDER L. V. HARUTYUNYAN

The book, which consists of 6 volumes, contains detailed information about more than 2800 herbs which are popular worldwide. The current volume contains 164 types of herbs the majority of which are plants which grow in Armenia and which are used in traditional medicine since ancient times. The herbs specified in the book are presented according to the nature of diseases. The diseases belonging to specific groups are briefly described. The peculiarities of phytotherapy of each disease are mentioned in details in respective chapters. The names of each herb are provided in Armenian, Latin and Russian, as well as their families, external features, prevalence (in case of Armenia more details are provided), conservation status, nature of raw materials and their main extracts, chemical composition, main therapeutic significance, information about the pharmacological influence and medical use are mentioned. There are colorful pictures of most important 111 herbs in the book. The book is for physicians, biologists, students of respective educational institutions and a wide range of readers.

The book, which consists of 6 volumes, contains The book comprises rich and brief information about the nature of Armenia. In particular, the land, fauna and flora, water, mineral and recreation resources, their current state, problems of their conservation, enrichment and reproduction as well as future actions are described. The current state of forests, their losses and improvement activities are specifically mentioned. A big section is provided for problems relating to artificial afforestation and landscape gardening. The book is meant not only for the specialists of nature protection but also for a wide range of readers, including school pupils, students, pedagogues, literally – for all.

The current volume involves 518 types of plants the majority of which have Armenian origin and they are even endemics. It comprises rich and brief information about herbs starting from the Latin alphabet letter N to R (N-R). The names of herbs are provided in Latin, Armenian and Russian, as well as their external features, prevalence, chemical composition and medical significance are mentioned. The book is for physicians, biologists, students and a wide range of readers.

The current volume involves 507 types of plants the majority of which have Armenian origin and they are even endemics. It comprises rich and brief information about herbs starting from the Latin alphabet letter S to Z (S-Z). The names of herbs are provided in Latin, Armenian and Russian, as well as their external features, prevalence, chemical composition and medical significance are mentioned. The book is for physicians, biologists, students and a wide range of readers.

The series of two volumes is written in memory of those students of Artsakh and Armenia who were obliged to leave their education in heavy and fatal for Artsakh days, who took up arms and joint the saint fight to struggle for liberation, freedom, honor and dignity of Artsakh and died a hero’s death…
The current work comprises information not only about the wild plants which grow in the territory of the Artsakh Republic but also about the flora of historical province of Artsakh – more than 2200 types of plants. The book is narrated according to the phylogenetic classification given by world-known botanist Armen Takhtajyan. The 2 volumes involve more than 600 colorful pictures of plants which will be helpful in specifying their type. The series is fir educational and scientific institutions, naturalists, forestry specialists, herbalists, literally – for all.

The book is written in memory of prominent scientist, biologist and pedagogue Levon Harutyunyan. The book draws readers’ attention to the memories of L. Harutyunyan’s friends, colleagues and family members about him, as well as some episodes and remarkable stories from the life of the great scientist. The book also involves a number of articles published in the republican press in different years. The summary of the book comprises articles from Levon Harutyunyan’s rich scientific popular heritage. The book is for the wide range of readers.
The editor of the book is his granddaughter Diana Balasanyan.
