Abstract. The article is devoted to the work of the Armenian Diaspora writer Nshan Peshiktashlyan “Theater Faces” (1968), which received the Georg Miletinets literary prize and became one of the best studies on Armenian theater. This book has never before been subjected to comprehensive study using the methodology of literary criticism. The article attempts to find out the artistic, historical, and literary value of the work in the context of Armenian culture and national identity. To find out, the original material and other articles by the same author were studied, which are dedicated to the theater and shed light on the author’s entire concept.
