Abstract. The article discusses the significance and vulnerabilities of the national security strategy, one of the most important documents since Armenia gained independence. The assessments of various institutions regarding the mentioned document are analyzed. The author’s proposals on the provisions of the new document on national security are presented. Analysis of the topic is of paramount importance for the Artsakh wars, as well as for the rearmament of the defense system of Armenia.
